Stop Collars
Stop Collar – Hinged with Bolt
The hinged Type Stop Collar is designed to latch-on to the casing without having to be slipped over the end of the casing allowing for quick and easy installation. The holding force is higher than the allowable centralizer starting force as specified in AP1 Specification 10D. It uses a nut and bolt assembly which when tightened draws the stop collar into a friction grip around the circumference of the pipe. This design does not produce markings or indentations on the casing after installation.
Installation Procedure:
• Locate Stop Collar at desired position on casing joint.
• To mate the 2 halves, use the Allen wrench to tighten bolt to 25 ft/lbs
Stop Collar- Hinged with Spiral Nail
The hinged with Spiral Nail Stop Collar uses two spiral locking pins which when driven in firmly lock the collar into position on around the casing.

• Rating: API Spec 10D2.
• Manufactured to endure high axial forces.
• Simple to use latching system provides fi rm grip on the casing.
• Provides maximum annular clearance.
Options:
• Manufactured in all common casing sizes.
• For sizes 13 3/8” and above, 4 spiral locking nails are used for fastening the stop collar to the casing.
Heavy Duty Stop Collar (Slip-on with Set Screws)
Heavy Duty Stop Collar (Slip-on with Set Screws) is used on the casing string to keep centralizers and cement baskets in place. Heavy Duty Stop Collar (Slip-on with Set Screws) is the standard recommendation on for smaller size casing strings and is ideal for application where extreme loading may occur.
Performance Features:
• Offers superior holding capability over latch-on bolt type stop collars.
• Utilizing set screws gives excellent gripping force, designed for use where high axial loads are expected.
• Easy installation on with Allen wrench to torque set screws (recommended 35 ft/lb).
• Can be utilized with most centralizers.
• Tested in accordance to API Specification on 10D-2
Stop Collar Super Heavy Duty Slip-on with Set Screws
Super Heavy duty Slip-on Type stop collar utilizing 3 alternating rows of set screws for excellent gripping force, designed for use where very high axial loads are expected The Type is easily installed with an Allen wrench, and must be torqued to 25 ft /lb. It offers superior holding capabilities, can be used with most bow and solid body centralizers and is ideal for application where highly extreme loading may occur. The Type is tested in accordance with API recommended practices and specifications.
